Considering mobile in email marketing.
Got this today in my inbox and was struck by the fact that it’s the first email newsletter that I’ve ever seen that offers a mobile version. Not even the mobile-related newsletters I get have this. Sign of the future? Perhaps.
It seems that my pixel grid has disappeared in Photoshop. Where’d it go?

Rupert Murdoch on CNN saying that subscriptions are coming back for online content. Methinks that unless you have unique and top-notch content—like WSJ, that it’s going to hurt you more than it’ll help. Especially since consumer demand is free content and their wallets right now agree that free’s a good price to pay. It’s a paradigm shift that’ll be hard to make.
Strange. I had a talk with my wife the other day about this very thing. Large newspapers are struggling and the small, focused (CNN used hyperlocal) online news site will be what changes the landscape for local news. Now if only newspapers could figure it out…
